Aleida V. Miller age 97 of 2503 Lower Lake Road died on Monday October 22, 2007 at Geneva General Hospital.

Friends may call on Thursday (Oct. 25) from 6-8 PM at the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps. (Ladies Aux. to the V.F.W. will have a prayer service at 7PM) A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday at 10 AM at St. Francis Catholic Church in Phelps with the Rev. Donald Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.

Mrs. Miller was born on March 17, 1910 in Izendyke, Holland the daughter of the late Peter and Stephanie Verbeke Verstraete. She retired from the Newark State School, and previously worked for 22 years at the Silver Floss Sauerkraut Factory in Phelps. She was a member of the Top of the Hill retires club of Finger Lakes DDSO.

She was a volunteer fro North Seneca Vol Ambulance and volunteered at Meals on Wheels. Mrs. Miller was a life member, recently receiving her 50 year pin, of the Ladies Auxiliary to the V.F.W. Post 6433 in Waterloo.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the House of John 14 Spring Street Clifton Springs, NY 14432 or a charity of one’s choice.

She is survived by her Son Bernard (Shirley) Miller of Manchester

2 daughters in law Betty Miller and Elizabeth L. Miller

9 Grandchildren 5 Step-Grandchildren 15 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren. 1 niece and 1 nephew.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Charles Sr. and 2 sons Charles and Kenneth.
