Friends may call on Saturday March 1, 2008 from 11-1PM at the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps. Funeral services will follow at 1PM with the Rev. A.J. Tierson officiating. Burial will be private in Riverview Cemetery.

It is suggested that memorial donations be made to the Finger Lakes Community Cancer Center 6 Coulter Road Clifton Springs, NY 14432.

Lewis was born on May 25, 1946 in Hornell, NY the son of the late Lewis and Dorethea Mae Ryan Weitzel. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Lewis built his own home and his family business Finger Lakes Fire Extinguisher is also operated at the same location.

He was also a member of the Shortsville American Legion.
