Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-7PM at the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM in the funeral home. Private Burial will be in Newton Cemetery in Junius.

It is suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Phelps Ambulance P.O. Box 81 Phelps, NY 14532.

Mrs. Coon was born on January 25, 1916 in Junius, the daughter of the late Marion and Addie Newkirk Hill. She retired after 20 years from the Finger Lakes DDSO. She was a member of the Phelps American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Civil Service Retirees. Mrs. Coon volunteered at the Wayne County Humane Society. She also operated the family farm with her husband Claire.

She is survived by her children Gerald Coon of Stowe PA

Leon (Patricia) Coon of Phelps and John (Judy Kline) Coon of PA

8 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren

Several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Claire.Brothers Dever and Albert Hill.
