PHELPS - Richard F. Atkinson Jr., 52, of 29 Orchard
Park, died peacefully
Friday (April 1, 2005) at Geneva General Hospital
surrounded by his family.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.
Tuesday (April 5) at The
Cheney Funeral Home, 70 Main Street in Phelps. Funeral
services will be held
at 11 a.m. Wednesday (April 6) at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Riverview
Cemetery in Clifton Springs.
It is suggested that memorial contributions be made to

Coulter Road, Clifton Springs, 14432.
Rich was born June 25, 1952, in Clifton Springs, the
son of Richard F. and
Esther M. Clapton Atkinson Sr. Rich was a member of
the Buckhorn Sportsman
Club in Phelps and the Sons of the American Legion
Post 456 in Phelps.
Richie is survived by his wife, Cindy Atkinson of
Phelps; son, Tucker Atkinson of
Phelps; daughter, Amy (Bill McNicholas) Atkinson of
Geneva; Richie's ray of
sunshine - his granddaughter, Madison McNicholas; his
father, Richard F.
Atkinson Sr. of Phelps; brothers and sisters, James
Atkinson of Phelps, Debbie
Rugg of Dresden, Jeff Atkinson of Dresden, Cheryl
(Daren) Hammond of Phelps
and Terry (Paula) Atkinson of Phelps; aunts and
uncles, Bill and Sue Dinges of
Rockford, Ill., David R. Kesel of Clifton Springs,
Robert Clapton of North
Carolina, Betty Jane (Frank )Palermo of Newark,
Emerson Garling of Irving,
Texas and Doris Garling of Newark; several nieces and
nephews and cousins;
and the many supportive friends that have stood by
Richies side through his
hard times after his stroke.
He was predeceased by his mother, Esther M. Atkinson,
who died in 2001.
