John T. “Jack” Feeney age 81 of 29 Greenhurst Ave.
died peacefully on Monday August 13, 2007 at his home.
Friends may call on Wednesday August 15, from 10-11
AM at the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps,
followed by funeral services at 11AM with the Rev.
Lynn Spence officiating.

Jack was born on October 13, 1925 in Hornell, NY
the son of the late Leo and Cecile Roe Feeney. He was
the past president and owner of Canisteo Appliance and
past Town Supervisor of Canisteo. Jack was a member of
the Keuka Lake Preservation Association and a lobbyist
for the NYS Legislature, and a very active member of
the Republican Party.
Jack retired as President of the Western New York
State OTB.
Jack and his wife Barbara lived on Keuka Lake for
over 30 years. In addition to boating and fishing,
Jack also was an avid reader.
Jack was a Navy veteran of WWII.
He became a member of the small force of Naval
Armed Guards protecting Merchant Marine Ships in the
Atlantic Supply convoys.
He is survived by his daughters Marsha (David)
Fleming of Wellesley Island and Jupiter FL, and their
children Jonathan Fleming and Megan(Michael)Deming and
great grandson Thomas Deming.
Bonnie (Richard) Mider of Newark Valley, NY and
their children Jessica (Alexander) Mueller and Zachary
(Kristen) Mider.
Kathleen C. Engler of Amherst, NY
Dianne (Col. Raymond) Van Pelt of Forest Hill
Maryland and their children Emily, Carolyn and
Elizabeth Van Pelt.
Step-daughters Christie (David) Nichols of Geneva,
Karen (Steve) Knittle of Geneva.
4 step-grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren
