Phelps,
Helen Joanna Lootens, 83 of 645 Neider Road died
peacefully at home surrounded by her family on
Thursday March 31.
Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at
The Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps. A mass
of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at
10Am in St. Francis Church with the Rev Anthony
Calimeri officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis
Cemetery.
It is suggested that memorial donations be made to
Ontario-Yates Hospice 756 Pre-emption Road Geneva, NY
14456.
Mrs. Lootens was born on October 9, 1921 in Phelps
the daughter of the late Felix and Alice Nieder Taney.
She attended the District 17 school house on Neider
Road in Phelps until 8th grade. She
graduated from the Phelps Union and Classical School
in 1938 and then from the Rochester Business Institute
in 1940.
Mrs. Lootens was a lifelong member of St. Francis
Church in Phelps.On October 18, 1947 she married
Andrew F. Lootens.
Surviving are her 4 children Rosemary(William)
Barker of Inverness, Florida
