Clifton Springs/Phelps Margaret I. Loomis 63 of Horizon Drive died on Tuesday January 3, 2006 at the Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic.

Friends may call on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps. Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 7, at 10 AM in the Phelps Baptist Church 28 Church Street with the Rev. William Reigle officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in Phelps.

Margaret was born on April 22, 1942 in Williamson, NY the daughter of the late Llewellyn and Irene Van Horne Rice. She was a member of the Phelps Baptist Church, Tops Club and the Clifton Springs Fire Dept. Ladies Aux. She was also a Girl Scout Leader and also belonged to the Ontario County Chapter of the Literacy Volunteers. She worked for the Phelps-Clifton Springs School District as a cafateria aid, Margaret also worked for the Salvation Army, Endicott and Johnson Shoe Factory and Vienna Gardens. Margaret retired from G. W. Lisk Co in Clifton Springs.

Memorial Donations may be made to the Clifton Springs Fire Dept. Ladies Aux, Phelps Baptist Church, or the Ontario County Chapter Literacy Volunteers 208 Main Street Canandaigua, NY 14424.

Margaret is survived by her daughter Emma Jean (Michael) Westfall of Phelps.
