Following with Shirley’s wishes there will be no calling hours. Family will receive friends on Monday (Nov.15) from 7-9 PM at the Seneca Castle United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Seneca Castle United Methodist Church P.O Box 151 Seneca Castle, NY 14457. Private Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Shirley was born on February 28, 1930 in Geneva, NY the daughter of the late Harvey and Mildred Jones Ottley. She was a graduate of Geneva High School class of 1947 and also the Freeman School of Business. Upon graduating Shirley worked at Canandaigua Medical, Rogers & Elling Insurance Co. and retired from Mason Street Optical after 22 years. She also served as secretary for 13 years for the Phelps Planning and Zoning Boards.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years Wilson “Bill” Wheadon of Geneva.
