Stephen "Chico" Vanderwall Obituary (1954

Stephen "Chico" Vanderwall,age 70, passed away on Friday, May 9 2025, at Monroe Community Hospital. There will be no prior calling hours. Friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 11AM at Riverview Cemetery in Clifton Springs. A celebration of life will follow at Noon at the Phelps American Legion, 1346 NY-96, Phelps NY 14532. Memorial donations in memory of Steve may be made to the Midlakes Wrestling Booster Club, 5 Foster Avenue, Clifton Springs NY 14432. Steve was born on September 10, 1954 in Clifton Springs, NY, the son of the late Francis and Elizabeth (Coriddi) Vanderwall. Steve was an avid outdoorsman, whether it be spending time in the woods hunting, or enjoying a round of golf. He enjoyed spending time in his garden, making the worlds best salsa and canning all of the fruits and vegetables that he grew. Steve loved watching and coaching his sons and grandson in all of their sports, whether it was baseball, wrestling or football. Most important to Steve was his family. Steve is survived by his wife of 50 years, Katherine Vanderwall Sons Jeremi (Deb Galliher-Vanderwall) Vanderwall Jason Vanderwall Grandsons Patrick and Gavin Vanderwall Granddaughter Lindsey McGuane Siblings Fran Vanderwall Jr. Pamela (John) Kunes Valerie (Scott) Haynes Richard (Deb) Vanderwall Wayne Vanderwall Albert (Yun) Vanderwall Johanna (Tom) Brownell Christopher Vanderwall Jon (Rose) Vanderwall Betty Jane (Tim) Kindleberger Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and extended family Steve was predeceased by his son Justin Vanderwall, brother Kerry Vanderwall, Sister in law Claudia Vanderwall and Sister in law Cynthia Peck.
